The Chronos-Weaver

Entity Designation: Obsidian Slip-Worm

Fig. Obsidian Slip-Worm

Through the distortion, I saw it: the Chronos-Weaver. It possesses no symmetry, no recognizable limbs, and no face.

    • It is a heavily lopsided, uneven mass.
    • On one side, it is a dense, jagged cluster of massive obsidian shards, which violently tapers off into a thin, erratic, broken spiral of weeping liquid amethyst cores.
    • Embedded randomly throughout this uneven geometry are fleshy, mismatched ocular organs.
    • A single, massive, bulging eye anchors the heavy obsidian side, while dozens of tiny, blind, twitching pupils cluster on the amethyst fragments.

When a pack of native Desert-Stalkers tried to ambush it, the creature emitted a high-pitched resonance that physically fractured reality. The intense temporal distortion manifested before my naked eyes as a harsh, stuttering cyan and magenta chromatic aberration—a violent glitch in the fabric of the world itself.

    • The stalkers were crushed by overlapping, stuttering afterimages of the worm that, a second prior, weren't even there.
    • I survived, but the cursed black energy permanently stained my journal, leaving my notes corrupted and radiating a faint, dark hum.
    Terran Analogue

Imagine watching a video online that suddenly starts buffering and lagging terribly, causing the image to stutter and repeat. Now imagine that "lag" happening in real life, and every stuttering, delayed afterimage of the creature can physically strike you with the force of a freight train.
